September already ?????

Ooops I haven’t posted since February – that must mean Ive been uber busy or uber lazy – lets stick with the first one cos obviously you can’t prove the second.

Suddenly realised I hadn’t painted for a very long time so I dug out the acrylics and canvas’ and off I went.  As usual I like to mix my media using images, gloss and paint – two pieces were exhibited in the ESBAT exhibition and although they didn’t sell one was chosen to be exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy on the mound (till October so you can still see it)

I also had a significant birthday so July was mainly a drunken haze and a bit of mid life crisis surgery – got my cataract operation so I can hopefully (eventually) actually be able to see me work close up!!!

About SARAH WILSON

Artists Statement A conceptual artist whose work and research centres round the subject of collections and memory. Member of the printmakers workshop for the past 10 years and works predominantly with photographic lithography and woodcuts. My work involved photographing, sketching, printing and reworking images - sealing finished pieces in resin . I like things that look like mistakes, loving the medium of woodcuts and the rawness of the printed image. My influences are fairly diverse but when in doubt I cant go wrong with Bruce Nauman, Picasso, Max Pechstein, Emil Nolde, Matthew Barney, Helen Chadwick and anything to do with the Flux Movement. sarah-ewilson.co.uk View all posts by SARAH WILSON
